Monarch Homes has been putting up quite a few new homes in the Elkhorn area, and we know some people who have personally bought from Monarch Homes.

Dave Boyd

Dave was first smitten with the construction business while in high school during a summer job laying block. Following high school, he started trimming and building cabinets in homes. After several years working hard and learning the trade, Dave launched out on his own in 1976, creating Monarch Homes.

It’s not just a business for Dave. It’s his passion. While many would be content to take it easy on their days off, Dave is happily checking on jobs and planning for the next week. Monarch Homes is as much a part of Dave Boyd as breathing, and his happiness and dedication show in each home Monarch Homes builds.

A strong family man, Dave has been proud to show his sons the business he loves so much, and pleased that they have joined him at Monarch Homes.

Clinton Boyd

Clinton handles the real estate end of the business as the exclusive sales representative for Monarch Homes. He has been selling real estate since 1999 and is affiliated with CBSHome Real Estate, the region’s leader in residential real estate with more than 610 sales associates working in eleven sales offices throughout Omaha and Council Bluffs. As a realtor, Clinton has been recognized for his excellence. In 2005, he was ranked 13th out of those 610 CBSHome Real Estate associates, and has been awarded top monthly list or sales agent in his office over 30 times. Additionally, Clinton has been in the prestigious CBSHome “Circle of Excellence” for 2004, 2005, and 2006.

With Monarch Homes being a family business, Clinton grew up around construction and worked on home sites during high school and college. He is a graduate of University of Nebraska at Lincoln with a degree in Business Administration. Clinton has extensive knowledge of both existing real estate and new residential construction and is familiar with Omaha area subdivisions and available lot inventory.

Clayton Boyd

The younger of Dave’s two sons, Clayton is just as dedicated as his dad and brother. And he’s learning the home building business from the ground up. He started out cleaning job sites, sweeping out houses on the weekends and after school. Clayton now has specialized at Monarch, and is responsible for building decks, retaining walls, rough punch and inspections of the houses.

While they may build very nice homes, their website leaves much to be desired. iQuest Venture Group, the website design firm that handles Prairie Homes’ website, should be ashamed of themselves.
